Kyrras is a small hobby game. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

What other players see. Only your display name and the sigil you choose. Never your email, your real name or a photo.

What we store. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Discord, we keep that service's account id and your email address; we do not keep your name, photo or access tokens. If you sign in with an email code, we keep your email address. Guests are stored without any email. We keep your games and moves, and for security we keep your sign-in sessions with the IP address and browser they came from.

On your device. Your settings (such as theme, board view and piece set) and your practice rating against the computer are saved in your browser. We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

Why we use it. To run your account and your games, to send the sign-in codes you ask for, and to keep the service secure and free of abuse. That is all.

Who helps us run Kyrras. We use service providers for website and game-server hosting, database hosting, email delivery and bot protection. They process data only on our behalf and only to provide those services. If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple or Discord, that service tells us who you are under its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Where it is processed. Our providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries. Where data about people in the EU or UK is transferred, we rely on our providers' standard contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it. Your account and games are kept until you delete your account. Sign-in sessions end after 90 days without use. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.

Your choices. You can change your display name and sigil, and unlink sign-in methods, on your account page. There you can also download a copy of your data and delete your account yourself, guests included. Deleting resigns your games in progress and turns your seat in other players' games into an anonymous “Deleted player”, so their game history stays without anything that links it to you. If you cannot sign in, email v3ltrastudios@gmail.com and we will help. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object or complain to a data protection authority.

Children. Kyrras is meant for players aged 13 and over.

Changes. If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and tell signed-in players in the app.
